Ice climbing is popular adventure sports in Ladakh in the month of January to march where frozen waterfall provide challenging route.  Winter in Ladakh, from Mid November to March, transforms the region into a serene, snow-covered wonderland that offers unique adventures not available in the peak summer season.

DETAILS

Day 1 Arrival in Leh
Welcome to Leh Ladakh for Ice Climbing! Given the extreme cold with temperatures dropping to -30 degrees Celsius, please ensure you wear warm jackets upon arrival at Leh airport. Our representative will be waiting at the arrival gate to transfer you to Hotel, where you can rest and acclimatize. Later in the evening, our representative will meet you at the hotel to provide a detailed briefing on the Ice Climbing schedule and program. Enjoy an overnight stay at hotel with dinner served onsite.
 
Day 2 Active Acclimatization
Welcome to your second day in Ladakh. Today, we’ll begin with an introduction to the necessary gears and equipment for Ice Climbing. Our professional instructor will guide you through the gear and check any equipment you’ve brought along. and also Introduction of Gears of Ice Climbing at Hotel. After lunch, we’ll head to the Ice Climbing Wall at Gangles to observe the ice formations and the wall’s structure. In the evening, we’ll visit Shanti Stupa before returning to the hotel for overnight stay in Leh, where dinner will be served.
 
Day 3 Drive to Gangles Ice Wall
Today, we will drive to the Gangles Ice Wall located 12 km from Leh City, departing at 9:30am. In the morning session, you will learn ice climbing techniques and proper gear usage. After lunch, we will climb the ice wall until 4:00pm.
 
Day 4 Gangles Ice Wall
We will once again head to the Gangles Ice Wall for climbing.
 
Day 5 Tsogsti Ice Wall
Today, we traveled to the Tsogsti Ice Wall located 46 km from Leh City. During the journey, we passed the Sangam Point and crossed the frozen river to reach the Tsogsti Ice Wall. This natural ice wall stands 20 meters tall and we spent the day climbing it. For the night, we stayed at a nearby homestay in Tsogsti, ensuring a comfortable rest after our adventure.
 
Day 6 Tsogsti Ice Wall
Once again, we will climb at the same spot, the Tsogsti Ice Wall, before returning to Leh.
Please note that if the Tsogsti Ice Wall is not properly formed, we have alternative options at the Basgo Ice Wall or the Khalsti Ice Wall.
 
Day 7 Gangles Ice Wall
Today marks your final day of climbing. We will head to the Gangles Ice Climbing Wall for one last climbing session. In the evening, we will return to the hotel followed by dinner and a certification distribution ceremony.
 
Day 8 Departure to Home
After the breakfast we will excursion towards the Leh Airport , So its time to departure. We hope you depart with happy and vivid memories of this enchanting, mysterious landscape and we look forward to welcoming you again in Ladakh.
